Richard Practices in the area of workers' compensation, and has been a certified specialist by the State Bar of Arizona since 1979. He has been recognized as one of the Best Attorneys in Arizona, the Best Lawyers in America, the Top 100 trial Attorneys, Who's Who in the United States, and Who's Who Internationally. He was named the Workers' Compensation Attorney of the Year for 2013 in Arizona. Richard is an Arizona native, born and raised in Phoenix, as a third generation native Arizonan, from a steel worker union family, and attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, and Arizona State University in Tempe, ultimately graduating from Arizona State University law school. He's the managing attorney for the law firm of Taylor & Associates, PLLC. He started the original workers' compensation practice in 1975 after a brief stint with the Industrial Commission of Arizona and the State Compensation Fund. 

Since 1997, he has been participating in classic car rallies around the world, including 53 different countries to date. He also established the Mzuzu Academy, a high school in Malawi, Africa, in 2010. Consistent with his compassion with injured workers, Richard is responsible for bringing the cats into the Taylor & Associates office, starting in the late 1970's when he adopted and brought into the office two cats who turned out to be a great hit with the staff and clients, and the rescued cats have grown over the years. You will frequently be greeted by several of the cats in our reception area.

Taylor and Associates was founded in 1975 as a workers' compensation law firm in Phoenix, based on the belief that injured workers throughout Arizona should be represented with compassion and integrity. For more than 40 years, we've provided help with claims for workers' compensation, personal injury, and Social Security. Since our inception, Taylor and Associates has grown from two attorneys to thirteen. Our attorneys have represented more the 35,000 clients throughout Arizona, in big cities and small towns.
