Established in 2007, Pivot Cycles is a highly innovative company that draws on founder Chris Cocalis’ 32 years of mountain biking design and engineering experience.  As a relatively young company in the mountain biking industry, Pivot Cycles has risen to a position of leadership with respect to bicycle technology, and maintains a premiere network of independent bicycle dealers.  

Pivot Cycles’ state-of-the-art headquarters in Tempe, Arizona focuses on in-house design and rapid prototyping, and nearby rugged South Mountain Park and Preserve serves as a world-class proving ground for newly developed technology. With roots in the birth of the sport, Pivot has emerged as a thought leader on topics ranging from carbon frame manufacturing to suspension design to bicycle geometry.   

Pivot Cycles believes deeply in supporting athletes at every level of sport.  In 2010, Pivot became the title sponsor of Pivot Factory Racing, owned and managed by professional athlete Bernard Kerr. Pivot founded both the Arizona and Utah interscholastic cycling associations and supports hundreds of youth mountain bikers at high school races.  The company has nurtured Olympic athletes, with Pivot cross country mountain bike racers in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, and athletes expecting to return to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
