Mary Clements, PhD has more than twenty-eight years of experience in counseling. She has had a counseling practice in Casa Grande since 1989. She offers a full range of counseling services with special expertise in the areas of sexual molestation and the resolution of childhood issues, including childhood trauma.

Mary Clements, PhD has worked with all ages from pediatric through geriatric. She counsels with individuals, couples and families, depending on the need.
She does both marital and pre-marital counseling. She also offers grief counseling, post-trauma therapy (for example, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - PTSD), and anger management therapy.
I believe the counseling experience should be as comfortable and user friendly as possible, reflects Dr. Clements. There are still stigmas attached to therapy in many peoples minds and the idea of seeking help can be intimidating. I have my office set up with easy chairs, foot stools, and soft pillows. There are large windows that look out at nature and a peaceful, awesome view. All of this serves to help establish rapport, a non-threatening environment and a trusting relationship with the counselor. It helps people to relax and concentrate on the process.
Mary Clements, PhD utilizes a number of modalities including cognitive therapy, cognitive / behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and play therapy for children. Additionally, she received post graduate training in Biofeedback at the prestigious Menninger Institute and employs different relaxation and stress management techniques in her practice. Dr. Clements received her advance degrees from the University of Nebraska (M. S.) and the University of Iowa (Ph.D.).
Patients are never be assigned to different counselor youll see the same Counselor each time you come in, who knows your history and your case. (All of the agencies in town have people at the bachelor's and master's level working for them, have a relatively high turn-over, and often shuffle clients around to different counselors.)
