Grand Canyon Tours - Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their tour with AngelsGateTours.com They will stop by your cottage and pick you up and then then drop you off after the tour. For those who would rather not drive to the canyon or fight the crowds, but have an experienced guide show all the important sights as well as some that would be missed on a self-tour, check this one out!!
Grand Canyon National Park - One of the seven wonders of the world, it is just 75 miles from your doorstep. GrandCanyon.gov
Pioneer Museum/Arizona Historical Society Two miles from downtown Flagstaff, this compound reviews the history of our region's first white settlers. A working blacksmith and other demonstrations take place quite often.
Sunset Crater & Wupatki National Monuments - 20 miles northeast of Flagstaff off highway 89. Lava cone craters and well-preserved Native American pueblo ruins. SunsetCrater.gov & WupatkiNationalMonument.gov

Meteor Crater - Forget the movies and see the result of the "real thing". Just 40 miles east of Flagstaff on I-40. MeteorCrater.com

Walnut Canyon National Monument - 7 miles east of Flagstaff off I-40. Beautiful scenery as well as Native American cave ruins. WalnutCanyon.gov

Lowell Observatory - on Route 66 (also called a Santa Fe). This is where in 1930 the planet (we still believe it's a planet!!!) Pluto was discovered. Tours, lectures, slide show and stargazing are available. LowellObservatory.edu

Museum of Northern Arizona - less than 1 mile from our inn - exhibits on the history, anthropology and culture of indigenous Native Americans. Great gift shop and book store. MuseumofNorthernArizona.org
Riordan Mansion State Park - near Northern Arizona University, this is an excellent example of the Arts & Crafts Movement in architecture that housed the Riordan families, some of Flagstaff's founding fathers. RiordanMansion

Golfing - For information on golf courses in and around Flagstaff, check out this site: TheGolfCourses.net

Skiing - For crosscountry skiing: FlagstaffNordicCenter.com
For downhill: ArizonaSnowbowl.com which has their summer activities listed also.

Local Area Restaurant Menus - TheMenuPlease.com for many of our local restaurants' menus.

If you just want to kick back and relax and not do the tourist thing, you can visit quaint shops, antique emporiums and great restaurants in the downtown area. And since there are over 300 days of sunshine a year in Flagstaff, many outside activities are available such as golf, tennis, hiking, mountain biking to name just a few.
