Examinations. All Ballet students are encouraged to enter Royal Academy of Dance examinations each spring. Vocational Examinations will be held in March, 2011, in Flagstaff. Grades Examinations will be held at the Dancespace studio in April, 2011. These examinations are conducted by professional examiners dispatched from throughout the world. The Academy is the only professional teacher-training, examining body of this magnitude in the world. It is an international organization, based in London, England. The Academy was founded in 1920. More than 250,000 students from around the world are examined each year in over 80 countries, and their numbers are growing every year.
2008 R.A.D. Examinations
Examinations are a valuable gauge of progress, and have proven to be a character-building technique-building positive experience for every student who has entered. There will be parent meetings in October to further discuss the Royal Academy of Dance and what examinations are all about.
"Parents' Days" will be held the two weeks prior to examinations, in which parents are invited to observe a "mock examination".
