The Prescott Valley Bible Church family is made up of people from all walks of life and all kinds of religious backgrounds. The people in the Prescott Valley Bible Church community believe that people matter to God. The church is not a denomination (an organized hierarchy of churches), just an independent Bible church that teaches the power of relationships- a relationship with God and with others.
We believe that the overall purpose of the church is found in the Great Commission that Jesus gave to His apostles in Matthew 28:18-20 . . .
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." New International Version
Interestingly, we have found that the best strategy for accomplishing this mission today is the same strategy that Jesus Himself used 2000 years ago. As He gathered together a small group of followers and called them His disciples, we also use the method of small group gatherings to make "disciples or followers of Jesus.
The Small Group environment allows us to pursue the goal of making disciples within the context of a loving community. The ultimate goal of our discipleship and community building is changed lives. The following words summarize these three values into one simple statement
