Since 1962 CIT has been a respected leader in the field of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing. With consideration of current market conditions, CIT has made a decision to not pursue and decline all new business effective immediately. As part of this decision CIT is notifying all current clients and customers that we will cease all field testing services and engineering support effective September 30, 2009.
If CIT is currently under contract or scheduled to perform work on one of your projects that will go beyond September 30, 2009 you will need to make arrangements to have this work performed by another vendor/contractor after that date. CIT maintains some flexibility in this planned suspension of operations and we will work with our clients on an individual basis to make this transition as seamless as possible.
CIT is committed to a successful transition for all parties. We will provide all services, reports and engineering support to you to the best of our ability. Please continue to work with our staff on any special needs that may arise during this period.
CIT remains financially solvent and while we are suspending business operations we are not dissolving or seeking bankruptcy. During the next 12-24 months CIT will carefully monitor the market conditions, re-assess our position in the industry and determine how we might provide selected services in the future.
