Worship with us in the time after Pentecost this Sunday
at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary November 14, 2010 The end is near. There is no doubt about it. The warnings are dire. The tone of todays texts is ominous. But the baptized know how to live in the "meantimes." The baptized are strengthened for the living of these days in word and sacrament. The baptized rally around the invitation of the apostle: "Brothers and sisters, do not be weary in doing what is right." ****************************************
"Joyful Kids" Sunday School at 9:45 a.m.
"Joyful Kids" is the name of our Rotational Sunday School, which is designed to teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly stations like Art, Drama, Music, Games, Cooking, Science, Storytelling, Movies, and many other educational medias. Rotational Sunday School is a creative way to get children excited to learn about Jesus. Parents guide children to Sunday school at 9:45 am on Sunday mornings. Here the parents sing, talk, play and mingle with their children until 10:00 am. Then parents continue on to Worship. From 10:00 am to 10:30 am children creatively experience and learn stories of the bible. At 10:30 am children join their parents in worship for communion.

Oktoberfest Golf Event Saturday, November 13 The 7th Annual Oktoberfest golf scramble fundraiser, putting contest, and BBQ at Silverado Golf Course in Scottsdale is on Saturday, November 13 beginning at 12:30 PM. This event is filled with lots of fun and laughs...NO GOLFING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY... prizes will be given out in several categories at the dinner and prize ceremony following the putting contest. Come for the golf scramble, the putting contest, or just come just for the BBQ whichever event you participate in, you will be sure to have a great time!! Please see Dick Faser if you have any questions. Cost: 18 holes plus the BBQ is $130. Putting is $20 and the BBQ is $25. Proceeds will benefit Ascension and local hunger outreach. ****************************************
