The Montessori Schools of Flagstaff follow the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician who developed a unique perspective in child education, a perspective that honors their natural aptitude for acquiring knowledge. Twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for her educational methodology, she observed that children who are placed in a rich academic and socially prepared environment develop an innate love for learning an attitude that promotes self-awareness and self-discipline. The child learns to appreciate and respect himself, his peers, his teachers, and his environment.
An American Montessori Society affiliate school, we are nonsectarian, family-oriented, and we build close working relationships among our students, parents, staff, and community members. In addition to our tuition-free charter school (kindergarten, elementary, and middle school), we also offer tuition-based preschool, after school, and summer programs.

In accordance with A.R.S. paragraph 38-431.02, notice of any meeting of the board of the Montessori Charter School of Flagstaff will be posted on the lobby bulletin board at the Montessori Middle School at 2212 E. Cedar Avenue and on the main school calendar on this website.
