Ground has been broken on a new Community Health Center for North Country Health Care in Springerville, Arizona. When complete, this 11,000 square foot facility will provide quality, affordable health care to the White Mountains in rural Northern Arizona. BEC Southwest was selected as Construction Manager at Risk based on its extensive Health Care experience as well as its technical expertise and knowledge of managing construction projects in rural locations. Demolition activities are complete with commencement of earthwork and site utility install

Facilities construction is nearly complete on the Discovery Channel Telescope Observatory being built for Lowell Observatory in Happy Jack, Arizona. The rotating upper enclosure and aperture shutter operated flawlessly on the first try putting Building & Engineering Contractors Southwest, Inc.

Work is underway on the construction of the C-Aquifer Well, Transmission Lines and Treatment Plant for the Hopi Tribe at the Village of Moenkopi. When complete this facility will treat more than 250,000 liters per day to provide purified drinking water to the residents of Moenkopi. BEC Southwest is performing the installation of more than 6.5km of 200mm underground water transmission piping as well as Structural Concrete and Structural Steel fabrication and erection with its own forces.
