Portal Peak Lodge is located Portal, Arizona. It is at the mouth of Cave Creek Canyon in the Chiricahua Mountains.
The lodge is next to Cave Creek and behind the Portal Store & Cafe.
This facility affords guests the finest accommodations in the Portal area.
Sixteen attractively furnished, Southwestern-style rooms surround a wooden deck which is invitingly furnished with patio tables and chairs.
Enjoy the magnificent view of Sky Islands, watch numerous hummingbirds feeding, visit with old friends and meet new ones, or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Reservations are advisable, especially during the spring and summer months. It is best to make your reservations as far in advance as possible, but you are welcome to drop in and see what is available.
A deposit of one nights rate mailed in advance will hold your reservation, or you may guarantee your arrival with a credit card number. Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express are accepted. Refunds are given only if reservations are canceled seven days in advance.

Sales tax will be added to above rates. Discounts for weekly stays. Discounts for groups reserving 6 or more rooms. All rates subject to change without notice.

Two double size beds. In room coffee. Color Television. Air Conditioning. Non-Smoking Rooms Available. Handicapped accessible Rooms.
Sorry, no pets are allowed. There is a phone on the premises, but no phones in the rooms.

Store and Caf
Enjoy good food in the full service restaurant (open year around) next door to the Lodge.
Home cooked meals are prepared daily. Select items from our breakfast, lunch or dinner menu. Sack lunches can also be prepared for you.
We are happy to provide special meal banquets or parties.
Tour groups are welcome, but advance notice is preferred.
Browse through our gift shop for that perfect reminder of your stay in our area. We have a great selection of books, maps, T-Shirts, postcards, mugs, and many more curio items.
Shop for your basic grocery and convenience food items in our store. Cold sodas, beer, ice, milk, bread, luncheon meats, and canned goods are just a few food items on hand.

Cave Creek Canyon
Cave Creek Canyon is located in the Chiricahua Mountains of Southeastern Arizona. Rising from the desert floor to an elevation of nearly ten thousand feet, the Chiricahuas reward visitors with some of richest flora and fauna in North America. This fascinating area offers magnificent views of beautiful vistas, imposing canyon walls, and mysterious caves.
Cave Creek is one of the few canyon areas in the US where the Elegant Trogon nests. Visitors from around the world travel to the Chiricahuas to view the magnificent bird in its surroundings. Also enjoy 330 other species of birds which include 14 species of hummingbirds and 10 species of owls.
Bird watching, Hiking, Wildlife viewing, Photography, Picnicking, and Camping are some of the activities that attract many people each year.
