Health Certificates - Domestic as well as International - Tuesday, September 07, 2010

We are pleased to offer international health certificates for dogs and cats traveling out of the country. It may be surprising, but many veterinarians don't offer this service (for pretty good reason). There are many exact and detailed instructions that must be precisely followed. We will offer a check list to assist you in preparing for a trip. Our responsibility is to provide the testing and examination for your certificate. Your responsibility is to contact to embassy and find all of the requirements for travel.
Together, we can make your travel successful.
In some cases it can be overwhelmingly complicated. We can refer you to a service that is very capable of assisting you in your travel needs.

Introducing Oasis Animal Clinic Puppy and Kitten Package pricing discounts!
Since the closing of PetSmart in July, 2009, many of you have asked if we were going to replace or restart the Vaccination Clinics. There is no practical way to duplicate this service in our clinic. Besides, annual examinations on our patients affords us the chance to detect disease and discuss health with our valued clients.
What if we could provide the best of both worlds, convenience and cost savings with more complete care?
Beginning July 1, 2010, we are offering a "package of products and services" for puppies and kittens. The total savings for each puppy (compared to our regular fees) is between $130-$150.
Please call or email us for more information.

We are excited to announce that you may now find us on Facebook. We invite you to post photos, comments or funny videos about your pets. Please feel free to write a review about our clinic on our page as well.

We are excited to announce that starting March 15, 2010, we will be offering to our clients a new feature on our website: Pet Portals. Pet Portals will serve several functions. You will now be able to access important medical information about your pet 24 hours a day.
You will be able to request appointments and request the most convenient time. You will also be able to request prescription refills on your pets medications.
These features and many more are made possible through a highly reputable company, VetStreet. We thank Merial for their support in this service.
Why is Oasis Animal Clinic offering this to me?
We would like to become more efficient, offer more tools for clients to be involved in the medical care of their pets and to become more green, reducing wasteful reminders in the mail where possible.
What if my pets information is not in your system? (or what if the information you are displaying is incorrect?)
You will be able to notify us so that we can update our records.
We are excited to stay on the cutting edge of technology but we never want to lose the personal touch that is part of our mission.

PetSmart closed it doors on July 27th, 2009. Since November, 1992 we have been neighbors and virtual partners with PetSmart. We have supported them and they have supported us. For many of our clients, it was a sad day. We all loved the convenience of shopping for all of our pets needs so conveniently. Our clinic benefited as well, provided low cost vaccination clinics and benefiting from the increased awareness of pet owners in this area of our pet hospital next door.

Some of you have asked how we are doing since they closed. Thanks for your concern. Between the rough economy and PetSmarts closing, we are a bit less busy than in the past. I look at this as an opportunity to spend more time with our clients and patients and to re-tool and renew our commitment to being the best veterinary hospital in the East Valley. Thanks to your loyalty, I am very confident that we will come out of this challenge even stronger.

We have extended our hours until 8:00 pm three nights each week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). We are still opened evening hours on Monday and Friday until 6:00 pm and offer a full day on Saturday until 5:00 pm. We will continue to find ways to be as convenient for you as possible.

You just walked in the door after a long day at work. You notice signs of vomiting on the floor in the kitchen. Then you see that the trash is knocked over and your new puppy is quietly lying under a chair by the table. In fact, he is too quiet. It is then that you realize that he is the culprit and probably ate much of the trash and has been vomiting. For many clients, this means a costly trip to a local emergency room. For our clients, many times we can see them in our hospital that same evening. This is because we offer evening hours until 6:00 pm on Monday and Friday and until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

It is quite common for us to get calls in the evening requesting to be seen. Some times we have to refer these calls to one of the nearby emergency clinics. We are either too booked up or it is too close to closing to realistically do much good for the pet. But our policy is to do everything in our power to see your pet before we close.

Sometimes all that is needed is an exam, an X-ray, maybe fluids or some other palliative treatment. Other times pets need more intensive care or observation and we will refer you to the best place to support your pet overnight.

Home Again Microchips are the industry leaders in permanent pet identification. We have consistently micro-chipped more pets in this area than any other clinic. Our service includes the cost of the chip, the service of implanting and the first years registration. The normal price for these three services is $69.00. For a limited time we are offering this service for $49.00. This service can be done as an additional item when you are in the hospital for other reasons, or we can schedule this as the reason for your visit. Unless your pet is examined by one of our veterinarians, there will not be an office call charge for this service.

For a limited time we are offering $10.00 off for appointments scheduled between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. This is usually a slower time of the day and we are happy to give you an incentive to come in during these times. There is some fine print however.

- You must arrive at your scheduled time (discount will not be honored after 4)

- The discount is only applicable to the cost of an office visit. You cant apply it if you are only having your pets nails trimmed, having lab work performed, etc. The discount will only be applied to the cost of an office visit that is scheduled with a veterinarian.

- Though we will still honor our Senior Discount (10% off) other discounts cannot be applied (second pet vaccine discount, etc.) We will offer which ever discount is greatest.
