Introduction to the Sacraments:
"The sacraments are outward signs instituted by Christ to give grace. Signs, there are all kinds of signs around us but sacraments are unique as signs because they are signs of the presence and love of God for us and of our desire to come in contact or encounter God."
El Father Miguel Agustin Pro Juarez, was a nice man who was laughing and smiling throughout the world. With great respect and love for people as well as to sacred things, made jokes and laughed at everything. Came to seem to mischievous and sometimes undignified.
Was born on January 13, 1891 in the mining town of Guadalupe, Zacatecas, entered the Society of Jesus in August 1911, was ordained priest on August 30, 1925 and died executed on November 23, 1927. "El Padre Pro" was one of the most important protagonists of the "religious persecution" held in Mexico by President Plutarco Elias Calles from 1926 to 1931 and beyond.

We say, JESUS remember me. He says, Today with me. [23:10] - Fr. Greg
We are often reminded, that for Catholics 'Thanksgiving is not a Thursday in November; thanksgiving is a lifestyle!' nonetheless, it is important to join in this National Day of Thanksgiving and share the experience with fellow believers across the country. Thanksgiving Day is not a 'holy day of obligation' but the obligation to take time to reflect, to remember and to give thanks is binding upon every believer. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, St Paul writes: "in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ JESUS for you."
Significantly, the Apostle does not say "for everything" but "in everything", that is, 'in all circumstances'. There are things for which a person would not necessarily find themselves "thankful" it would be hard to be thankful, for instance, for a flat tire, but in the circumstances of having a flat tire, one would be very thankful in having a spare tire!
Living with an "attitude of gratitude" comes, in part, from being able to see the 'bigger picture'. When a person sees their life in terms of the overwhelming blessings and undeserved marks of God's goodness, it is increasingly easy to be thankful in almost all circumstances. When you think of it, the opposite of thanksgiving is ingratitude. And so, it is the will of God, St. Paul says, that we who are 'in Christ' are to be thankful; that is, living with a sense of the goodness that surrounds and upholds us. Gratitude always flows from a real and growing awareness of one's relationship with God!
The Greek word for 'thanksgiving' is, of course, eucharist, and the most profound expression of our thankfulness for our relationship with God is the Eucharist the Mass! Take a moment to count the number of times the words "thanks" or "thanksgiving" occur in the celebration of the Mass the pattern is clear and instructive. We are a "Eucharistic People" thanksgiving is not just a Thursday in November, it is our lifestyle!
In order that we can give a more visible expression to our unity as a Parish Family, there will be only one Mass on Thanksgiving Day at 10:00AM please join us at the Altar the ultimate 'Thanksgiving Table'! (There will be a special Offering for Good Neighbor Alliance our community shelter for the homeless!)
"Social media is the fastest growing form of communication in the United States, especially among youth and young adults," USCCB guidelines say. "Our church cannot ignore it, but at the same time we must engage social media in a manner that is safe, responsible and civil. My hope is that they'll be a useful resource to people, especially to dioceses and parishes that are interested in using social media," said Helen Osman, USCCB Secretary for Communications.
"In some ways, we are returning to the pre-printing press means of communication -- old-fashioned word of mouth. St. Paul had his stump or rock upon which he stood to broadcast the Gospel in the marketplace. We have devices that literally can put the Gospel message in the palm of people's hands."
"We now have an opportunity to get the church's message and story directly to Catholics -- and others -- without having to negotiate the filters of mainstream media. We have the opportunity to connect with young adult and youth Catholics to create relationships that will last their entire lives," she said. | MORE
Such initiatives are important because young people today often use their Facebook community as their first reference point when doing research. If the church is not there, "it perpetuates for them the concept that the faith is not relevant to their daily lives," Osman said.

Charity unites us to God... There is nothing mean in charity, nothing arrogant. Charity knows no schism, does not rebel, does all things in concord. In charity all the elect of God have been made perfect. - Pope St. Clement I
