Cuisine presented in our restaurants derives from the assimilation of cultures distinct to Malaysia and Singapore in South-east Asia. Our family philosophy is to deliver high quality ingredients in extraordinary sauces peculiar to authentic Malaysian cuisine. Our family mission is to make sure that you have a well balanced spread that lingers in your mind, yearning for more.We make your unique dining experience possible by relying heavily on our rich culture and tradition, our passion, our dedication and our pride.
We are a Peranakan family, with other terms of reference being Straits-born Chinese or Baba (the men)-Nyonya (the ladies). There were two waves of Chinese migration to Malaysia - early Chinese migration dates back to the 15th century and later Chinese migration happened in the late 19th century. This gap is reflected by assimilation of early Chinese migrants with local Malay populace the Baba-Nyonya families.Generations old family recipes epitomize the fusion of ancient cultures. These recipes are brought to you by Rosalind, a Nyonya from Melaka, Malaysia.
Whats the rave?Well, you will find that Nyonya ladies are passionate about their cooking.Rosalind is personally involved in selecting the best possible ingredients and will only serve you a dish that she is excited about. There is little room for compromise.
Baba-Nyonya culture is dedicated to hospitality. Our first thoughts are whether our guest is going to be happy by the time they leave.Touch our dedication to you by experiencing fare that is showcased by our unique sauces and carefully selected ingredients. We augment our fare with an appropriate selection of international beers, wines and spirits from the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Chile, Argentina, Australia, Thailand and Singapore, to name a few countries. This selection is special to us as it reflects our personal choices.Of course, our non-alcoholic beverages are also given the grand treatment.
We are proud of our achievement to bring authentic Malaysian cuisine to Tucson, Arizona, here in the United States of America. We established Seri Melaka (northwest side of Broadway and Wilmot) in 1991 and Seri Melaka (northwest side of River and Campbell) in 2005.We envisioned coziness as an essential element in our dining room.Neo embodies a contemporary outlook with warm colors, steeped in traditional forms juxtaposed with modern art, blending to create a serene ambience. We take the pains to be creative and are proud that we do the same for all our endeavors.
We look forward to welcoming you and have you enjoy a unique dining experience.
