The Automotive Service Association, aka ASA, storied history began on May 31, 1951 and is headquarted in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area. The 12,000 ASA members perform mechanical, auto body, and transmission repairs and can be identified by its red, white, and blue ASA sign.

Certified Transmissions, Inc. first opened in 1988. Still in the same location, our family-owned business has since grown to 3 service bays, a large inventory of parts and 7 full time employees.

Our specialty is transmissions and their related components.
We work on both automatic and manual transmissions in most vehicles, as well as transfer cases, drivelines, differentials, and clutches. We can also accomodate motor home coaches and 'classic' cars/trucks.

As of March 2008 we expanded our expertise by adding General Repair and Maintenance in order to better serve our customers. We can perform services such as: engine oil & filter changes, power steering flushes, tune-ups, A/C charging, belt & hose replacement, brake pad replacement, and much more. Our team at Certified Transmissions, Inc. attends many technical and management seminars each year to keep up on the changes in this growing industry. Most recently we attended our industry's annual transmission conference which provided us with four days of the most up-to-date technical and management training. Equipped with the latest information, our goal is to provide you with the same quality in parts and workmanship that we would require in our own vehicles.

With today's technology many transmissions are controlled by a computer and other electronics. Because transmissions are so complex, we always begin with a proper diagnosis to confirm the source of the problem before repairing or rebuilding the transmission.

Our automatic transmission shop is proud to be affiliated with the non-profit organization known as the Automatic Transmission Rebuilder Association (ATRA). As an ATRA member our automatic transmission repair shop adheres to the service and repair definitions which are a part of the ATRA bylaws and code of ethics.
