When it comes to declaration of justice in a country, a number of indicators have been provided to determine the extent of justice being prevailed. First off a good indicator is that if each and every individual of a state regardless of their age, sex, religion and race is being provided with their basic needs. All the possible utilities that are required to lead a comfortable life should be at their disposal.
One of the most important elements that are stressed upon in the Quran is socio economic justice. Quran clearly states that the main objective of sending the Messengers of God in to this world was to bring about justice in the lives of God’s creations. All the teachings of the Holy Quran stress upon justice and fair dealings for all possible creations of God known to mankind. The Quran teachings are primarily directed to enable humans to live in a peaceful environment with one another. It is in face their mutual obligations to each other and the society in large to remain honest and faithful in order to ensure justice in the world. Quran predicts in Ta-ha 20: 111 that injustice will ultimately lead to destruction.
There are only two inviolable sources that have been provided to Muslims and Quran is one of them. The other source is Sunnah that depicts all the actions and traditions of the Holy Prophet. The Quran is to be sought for guidance in each and every aspect of life. The Sunnah has also laid great stress in favor of justice. Quran predicts ultimate destruction in case of injustice and the Sunnah promotes the same concept by the prediction of darkness as a consequence. Both of the sources imply the same kind of result that is ultimate darkness and obliteration.
Quran has laid stress with great intensification and unequivocal force that justice is to be prevailed. A Muslim scholar by the name Ibn Taymiyyal stated that “injustice is absolutely not permissible irrespective of whether it is to a Muslim or a non-Muslim or even to an unjust person”. He is only one scholar amongst many others who have greatly stressed upon the same subject. Ibn Khaldun also stated a country or a state for that matter cannot possibly develop without maintenance of justice. This leads to a simple conclusion that injustice and Islam cannot possibly coexist in a society. Injustice is only bound to prevail in a society where the Islamic teachings are weak and not followed in the right manner.
