Welcome to The Aikido Academy of Self-Defense website. Our Academy offers a complete martial art and self-defense program for the entire family. Men, women and children from all walks of life attend our academy to learn an authentic martial system that integrates throws, joint-locks, nerve pressure points, grappling and strikes. There are no tournaments or competitions in our academies. Instead, we specialize in the street effective art of Nihon Goshin Aikido, an integrated martial system consisting of Aikido, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and Karate. Youth classes, Adult classes, Women's Assault Prevention, and Personal Security Courses are just a few of the programs offered at our Columbia, SC and Spartanburg, SC dojos.
