The SELF DEFENSE ACADEMY is a full time Martial Arts School that is 100% plus committed to providing our students with a meaningful, effective and enjoyable learning experience. Our primary goal is to teach and support each student in their journey to achieve their individual goals while learning the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu, Judo, Jujitsu.
WHEN LOOKING FOR A MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THERE IS NO BAD STYLE OF MARTIAL ARTS. IT IS WHAT FITS YOU, YOUR SIZE OR YOUR IDEAS OF WHAT YOU WANT TO LEARN IN MARTIAL ARTS. BE CAREFUL WHEN SELECTING A SCHOOL EVEN THOUGH THE STYLE MIGHT BE ALRIGHT, SOMETIMES THE INSTRUCTOR ISN'T THE TYPE YOU WANT TEACHING YOU OR YOUR CHILD. (THE OLD SAYING GOES "THERE IS NO BAD STYLE OF MARTIAL ARTS ONLY BAD INSTRUCTORS".) THAT IS WHY WE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MANY PEOPLE, "YOU ARE ONE OF THE MOST EXSPENSIVE SCHOOLS IN THE TRI-CITY AREA, AND AFTER SEEING YOUR CLASSES WE KNOW WHY- YOU ARE THE BEST". When someone calls and ask "How much do you charge? or whats the cost to do classes? Please remember you are not buying apples or oranges and trying to compare the local stores for the best price. You CAN NOT COMPARE prices with martial arts in this manner you really need to go into the academy and see for yourself.
The Academy belongs to Professional Martial Arts Organizations that allows us to supply you with the most current and effective training information available, while seeking guidance and direction from the most notable instructors and consultants in the Martial Arts world.
We are a family oriented martial arts school, open to the public and dedicated to making your experience enjoyable and satisfying. We believe in strengthening the mind and body though self-discipline, fitness and awareness, through our Awesome Martial Arts Program.
For those of you who have not had any Martial Arts experience before, we here at the Self Defense Academy, encourage you to come and watch our classes. We teach Wing Chun Kung Fu to kids and adults, Judo for kids and Combat Jujitsu and MMA for adults. It is a great activity for the whole family.
Come on in and see our newest training floor, we now have two separate floors one for our Combat Jujitsu & Judo and the main floor for our Kung Fu. We have expanded to over 3,000 sq. feet with a walk in Pro shop for your training needs.
